They are JK's.

There is allot more to it then just looking for a JK. JK was just the code for that outer rim, you can have JK coded wheels with several different backspacings. Do a search and verify this info, but I believe you need to have the code A3 to the left of the valve stem and a "6" to the right. Around at the lugs look for "GM" and "65". The backspacing of the correct 66 SS wheels is (double check me on this) I believe 4 1/4, which if you measure to the very outer edge of the wheels it's going to look like 4 1/2. Now these stampings apply for a 66 wheel, there are other year wheels that are identical in size and offset that will have different stampings.

Hope this helps!

Are the '66 ss396 factory wheels 14x5 or 14x6? I looked in Chevy by the numbers and they list it as a 14x5, but on my cd The Essential 1966-67 SS396 Chevelle fact book it states the '66 rims as being 14x6.

Hey- Is there any one out there with a low milage unrestored '66 ss396 360hp 4speed close to Milwaukee Wi. I would really like a chance to view and document your car for my restoration.

Thanks

14x6 on SS's, and they are harder to find then you might think.

My parts book shows #3871919 for export V8 models in '66, a 14x6 wheel. They otherwise don't list a 14x6 wheel for '66 (that can't be right, the SS396 used 14x6 wheels in '66; even the Canadian Malibu SS used the 14x6 wheels when a 396 was specified).

That same 14x6 wheel, #3871919, is listed for use in '67 & '68 models with wide oval tires (except disk brakes which used Rally Wheels). I am pretty sure that even the El Camino used 14x6 wheels when a 396 powered it, even with 7.75-14 tires.
