Got a 71 chevelle ss454 with cowl induction hood. When u close the hood, the back left wants to go toward the fender and rub. Also happens when opening. Replaced the right side hinge. Is the left hinge bad also or is there another problem?

I would say yes, both springs should be of equal tension or you could get the results your having. Also, oil them up. Odds are that one or both of them are worn out and possibly bent.
