I have a 64 m20 that Im running after sitting dry for about 3 years in AZ. Now its leaking from what seems like the front and side. Could the tranny just need new gaskets or could there be somthing else wrong?

I have a 64 m20 that Im running after sitting dry for about 3 years in AZ. Now its leaking from what seems like the front and side. Could the tranny just need new gaskets or could there be somthing else wrong?

More than likely the countershaft pin is loose and that is the source of the leak. There is no easy fix, case needs to have a bushing installed and fitted to a new pin.

For all the greif and time involved, you can find a better case, not that easy, get a newer trans ot put a super case in there, a 7/8 pin super case and be good to go.
