Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix a split in a plastic inner fender? I was thinking about trying some epoxy or JB weld? Has anyone had success this way? Thanks in advance...

I'm having mine replaced with the metal ones from Goodmark.

I put the steel replacement ones from goodmark on my 71 ss coupe, and they look good (correct satin finish) and bolted right up EXCEPT for one bolt hole in the driver side towards the front by the radiator support. I had to oblong the hole to get the bolt in. but now that it is finished I AM HAPPY WITH THE PARTS.!!!!

When I still had the plastic inners I used epoxy with some success on plugging holes. If I needed to repair them now, especially a split or tear, I'd try some amazing stuff I used on repairing vinyl seats with very good results. It's called "Tear Repair". I found it at Menards in the glue/epoxy section. It's like welding vinyl or plastic. I also used it to repair a plastic part that holds the ashtray together on my Malibu.

I believe Eastwoods has a glue for repairing this and radiator shrouds.

Personally I prefer the metal inners. Even though they are lite gauge, they add rigidity to the front end.
