Examined them at super Chevy in july. lines look crisp. The stamping must have some people worried, because I have noticed a number of NOS 1/4 for sale in the last few months !!

Thats great Frank. after fitting, don't forget to give us an update Of the door/trunk/wheel house and sail panel fit.
If they fit anything like the Goodmark's 70/72 full 1/4's you should be a happy camper.

i just recently completed a paint job on a 66,i put a passenger side full quarter on this car.i was extremely pleased with the quality and the fit.i would recomend goodmark products to anyone,i would also highly recomend trial fitting any new pieces before the final stages of body work and paint reguardless of the products.if you are going to pay someone to paint your car and are paying by the hour you will come out cheaper buying new body parts, and better because you will have a rust free piece.however i would not feel comfortable saying this about any other company but the goodmark g m restoration licensed pieces, because that is what i have used.

I'm having a Goodmark put on the passenger side of my 66. I was impressed over all with the fit. You can check a couple of pictures out on my web site of the panel before it was welded on. http://members.cox.net/azwildonesracing/images/72902/IMG_1054.JPG http://members.cox.net/azwildonesracing/images/72902/IMG_1057.JPG

Has anyone tried to install these on a convertible. I have been told for a few bodyshops that it would be easier to just install new panel than to patch.

I just had the shop put a pair on my '67. Take a look at the pictures on my restoration link. They had to work with them a little because I also replaced the rear pannel.

Dad used them on his 67 and they turned out pretty well...
http://www.mdesignstudio.com/chad/forsale/67project/index.html

We got screwed by the bodyman and now he's disgusted and wants to sell. I think he should keep it. It's a factory SS, column shift/bench seat car from TX.

If he keeps it, its ready for the front end. Dad wants to buy all new Goodmark parts, the whole shebang. I think he should use one of our original SS hoods if he plans on keeping it (it was supposed to be a duplicate of my Mom's car back in '69). But our lamo bodyman threw a fit about the original hood and said he wouldn't touch another one as long as new ones were available. I've heard people complain about the new SS hoods, saying they're too flimsy. Is this true? They can't be as beefy as the originals are they?

Does the Goodmark sail panel match the factory seam?

I don't have anything to add re: 1/4 panels, but I was wondering what body guy chadh5 was using. Drop me an email.

Update on the quarters on my 66. The body shop got old ones off and the new full quarters clamped on. The left one fits perfect, the right one fits wheelhouse perfect, but is short at back door jamb, or may be bent, he has to work with that aspect before welding on. Overall these quarters are good to go! (Goodmark)

I have the left NOS quarter just waiting to go on the car for eons now. Now im wondering since I have to use a repro on the right side, would it be better to use both the L&R repro and sell the NOS piece for mucho dollars? When I bought the NOS quarter, I paid $260 plus shipping for it!!! I can easily double or triple my money right now.

What would you guys do?

Bob, I would sell that nos quarter and take that money and buy 2 goodmarks. Just my 2 cents.

one thing to consider before installing quarters is to make sure the body mounts are in good shape.i replaced a pass side on a 66 and it seemed a litle short until i checked the mounts and found the some of the rear mounts were missing.

I had to replace mine and the Goodmark was too flat (yes, the fenders have a slight crown to them). Took a little work, but got it to fit. I expected a little more from a "licensed" GM reproduction piece.
