Out of frustration and searching the internet, I have found this forum in hopes of getting some good advice with my current problem. I have just spent $600+ to upgrade my 68 Malibu's front brakes from Power Drums to Power disks. I had purchased the kit from Ausley's. The manufacturere of the kit is "The Right Stuff". Once I finished the new disc kit brake installation, I went to put on my 14" rally wheels and now they will not fit over the new front calipers due to the caliper bracket hitting the wheel. Any advice on if an aftermarket 14" rally wheel will work with this brake system, or do I need to buy 15" rally wheels and new tires now?

Sorry, but from what I've seen, most cars will need to strap on 15's in order to clear. I know for a fact that 14's won't work with a b-body brake upgrade.
I would have thought that the manufacturer would have had a warning on their installation instructions, or that at least Ausleys would have mentioned it when you purchased them.

Coincidentally, where are you? I'm about to sell my 15" Rallys and tires from my '68. They are perfect with less than 2000 miles. P235-60-15s on the front with 15x7" wheels, and P275-60-15's on 15x8 for the rear.

Some 14" Rally wheels will clear,,some won't. Don't ask me which ones,though.
What size rotors does your disc kit have?

I am here in SW MO. Do you have any pictures of the wheels and tires. How did they fit on your car? How much do you want for them?
