Ok guys, I got the formula for the Saturn Yellow paint I had mixed up.

MBC81838 A
Tinting Guide
Qty. 1 quart

Code Parts Color Cumulative
M118 46.5 Tinting 46.5
M119 111.8 Hi-Hidin 158.3
M115 280.2 Yellow O 438.5
M114 530.6 Light Ch 969.1
M150 274.2 Basemake 1243.3

If anyone can help me make sense of this, I'd like to come up with a formula to brighten up this color.

Well the M numbers are the other colors that you mix too make your color. You start with 46.5 grams of M118 (tint) then add enough of the next color M119 to take your total gram weight too 280.2 and so forth. I would say that you would need too add more M115 and less of a darker color too brighten up your yellow.. hope this makes sense.. as for giving you exact paint amounts sorry.. but maybe MARTINSR/JIMMYP can assist

Good Luck in your quest for that perfect Yellow http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

The 1970 Buick GSX color, Saturn Yellow, is a very bright yellow with a very slight greenish tint. The local PPG dealer mixed mine from their color match computer. Any dealer will have acess to it. This was in Concept base coat clear coat an was a perfect match for my old paint. Maybe they confused what you wanted with the newer GM Saturns. Hope this helped.

That is exactly what I'm looking for! A slight green tint, very bright yellow.

The yellow I got seems to have a brown tint. I was hoping someone could look at the formula above and see if there is a problem with it. I don't have the first clue!

I know nothing about mix codes, but if you want I could stop by tommorrow and see if I can get their mix code and see how they compare.
