I'm familiar with Hotchkis and Eibach for lowering springs. Is there any other manufactures I should be looking at. My application is for a 1972 A body that is a daily driver. I am lowering the car for two reasons handling and looks but I don't want to compromise right quality too much, and I have heard/read that lowering the car any amount will stiffen the ride. I want the ride to be a little stiffer, but not so stiff it’s unenjoyable. I upgrade my wheels and tires to 16 inch wheels and 245 tires. I know the larger wheels with stocks set up is made the ride a little stiffer.

Any suggestions?

I bought a set for my 72 from www.coilsprings.com. I ordered a 15-20% stiffer rate 2" drop spring set for the front. The car rides really nice, not too stiff yet stiff enough that it handles much better then before with the stock springs. I paid $128 for the pair. Hope this helps.
