I currently found a posting from 2003 about what coupler to use. I have a manual steering box from an A-body car with no fat on the input shaft. My first question is what is the GM part number for the coupler and is it still available? Also please any help with the installation and finding the "center" and correct origination of the coupler. I know a couple of you posted replys to my previous postings, but I plan on starting this next week and i would like any feedback on pitfalls or things to watch for when coverting from power steering to manual. thanks

Here is how to center your steering: http://www.corvettefaq.com/acar/SteeringWheelCenteringA-Car2ndGenF-Car.doc

I am 99% sure that this Corvette flexible coupling will bolt right up to your manual gear (with no flat). You might have to exchange the shoulder bolts from your original flex coupling. The GM part number is 7806391 and is still available from GM dealers. GMPartDirect lists it for $49.

Good luck,
Jim
