I have some small dings on various pieces of metal that are thin and can't be welded on. The folks at the powder coating place say that I can't fill the small areas with bondo. They say it would 'bleed' thru and not look good. Any other ideas on what might work to fill some small dings and be able to withstand the heat from the powder coating process?

Here's another link to look at:

I plan on using the hi-temp on some valve covers and then have them ceramic coated.

Time to find a different powder coater... I wouldn't think it's a question that hasn't come up before. In this day and age you don't need to know what you are doing to start a business!!

Paul..
My powdercoater said he could coat over a small bondo type area, but he wouldn't guarantee it, as it always cracks out. YMMV

Eastwood catalog says that you can use Metal-2-Metal filler that they sell on the part before using their powdercoat system. Maybe give them a call to see what they say.
