What to use to get overspray off the engine compartment? I masked the crap out of it but it still ended up everywhere.

Thanks,

Lee

If the overspray is a hardened urethane, You're probabl not going to have much luck removing it from the painted surfaces. You can scrub it off the engine & unpainted parts with lacquer thinner or acetone and a 3M scrub cloth.
Ugly job no matter what. Sounds like you may have to repaint some things.

Mothers (and other brand) clay bars work well for removing overspray.

Lee, same problem I had even when you mask the hell out of everything. Lots of detailing with thinner and steel wool.

It appears that most the overspray comes off quit easily with thinner. The underside of the fiberglass hood is another story, it's sticking like mad! Probably because it's fiberglass and it attracted the overspray. I can use a scotch pad with thinner to get it off but it leaves the surface pretty marred up, I guess I will pull the hood and then buff it again :-(
