I just picked up a rust free 73 SS. Where can I find info, VIN 1D37H3K417143 Any help would be appriciated.

1 = Chevrolet
D = Chevelle Malibu & Custom El Camino
37 = 2 door sport coupe
H = 350 engine with 2 barrel carb
3 = 1973
K = Built at Leeds plant, Kansas City, MO.
417143 = serial number

You can get a little more info by posting the cowl tag info in the Tag Team section, or look for the built sheet somewhere in the car :)

Dear Robbie: I have a 1973 SS 454 big block engine (245hp) engine in my garage that used to be in my blazer. I pulled it in case I found a ss chevelle. Well I finally got my 70 SS. Since then, I have been contemplating getting rid of this engine. If you are looking for an orignial engine write me back. It has the original heads, block and water pump. Thanks I dont need a motor. Trying to almost give it away. Just got it to save it from the crusher. Sorry no pics. I am in colorado springs. but in its day I loved the 73's also. Had to have the buckets and console and of course a BB. Thanks for the replys.
