2 part question:

1. Any suggestions on who to look at for a dual exhaust header for an inline 6/250? (in addition to "Clifford" and "Headers by Ed")

2. Is "Headers by Ed" a reputable company? No offense to anyone intended, I've just never heard of them before

Thanks, Kurt

Might want to check out this months hotrod mag. They have a HUGE article on chevy inline 6's. They named companies, I dont have the mag at hand (read it at work), but there were some good sources in there.

My boy just added something in his 53. If I remember I'll try and wake him up at work in the morning.

John, if the guy can get decent sleep at work why wake him up? Let him sleep....

Yeah, you're probably right. Guessing he's got the brightness turned up on the monitor getting an IT suntan.
I don't see any headers yet. Maybe he's just sticking in just the exhaust system.

Only one point of reference I have is:

Have a friend that ordered header flanges from "Ed". After waitng weeks for the order, he had to call and ask where they were. Ed said they were really backed up and would get to it when he could. Needless to say my buddy's project is stopped dead until Ed decides to send him the flanges.

Guess Ed is pretty busy.

Kurt; On the inliners.org website there's a company called
kansas kustoms that will "split" your exhaust manifold to
create dual exhaust.

I remember that Clifford company from back in the early 70's with their 6=8 slogan. There was a little 55 six cylinder that gave the v8's fits on the local 1/4 mile dirt oval track. Sounded like an angry bumble bee. :)

I just pulled the engine from my car and replaced it with another 230 L6. The "old" engine has a split manifold that has 2 outlets. If you want it, you can have it for shipping charges. I'll try and post a picture tonight.

If no one else is interested I'll take the engine. I'm in Allentown.
