I am looking at getting a 25 gallon gas tank for my 78 El Camino from JC Whitney. It says does not come with filler neck.
How do I remove the one from my 17 gallon tank and put it on the new tank?

The filler neck is only soldered in you can heat it up and it will fall out.Clean it up and solder it in the new tank.It wouldn't hurt to fill the old tank with water before heating it there is a safty factor here when working around gas.

take the tank and parts to a radiator shop and have them do the job.

I just took my filler neck out last week and reinstalled it with no problems. Just a little soldering. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Buy a new one on ebay for 150 with the neck.
