Hi this is my first post to this forum and I have to admit to you guys I'm a newbie. My Dad and I have been eyeballing a couple chevelle's the last couple weeks and this weekend we have spotted a pretty sweet ss with a four speed. My question to you guys though, in the process of authenticating the ss packadge and or any origninal equipment options where would I find the location of the RPO codes. (if it is still there) Was there a general location this was placed or do the vary between the years ????? The guy says he has the build sheet to validate that its an ss but I would just like to see which engine it is supposed to have and what not. (btw the car in question is a 69). I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm pretty ignorant to old cars but at least I'm not chasing down a civic like most of my generation does.
