My opinion? Whats your opinion? What do you think looks better? Its your car, so what I think doesn't really matter. Go with what you think is better, because its your car and your opinion is the only one that counts.

But, if given the choice, I would go with teh cragars:)

I agree...the only opinion that really counts is yours. Build it your way and drive it every day you can. I just found a bone stock 80 elky and bought it to just drive around..its got chrome reverse wheels all around...I think I'll leave it that wayh.

Get a set of the SS wheels, put some white lettered tires on them, keep your cragers with the tires already on them and have both sets. Not a big thing to change back and forth. Problem solved :hurray:

Do both. I have stock SS wheels for show and I just bought some chrome SS wheels that I'm putting on bigger tires for fun. Stock looks great but after 7 years, it's kinda boring.

Its all a matter of taste. Do you like the way it looks now?

Go by a car show, or meet somone that has the stock ones.See if can put a couple on one side of your car, look at that. Then go around and see the other and decide.Or take a picture a have enlarged and try looking at magazines with different types of rims and lay up to picture to get decision.Seen alot of those boyd crager takeoffs at shows. They look allright, but don't want them on mine.

I have my Cragars on because that's the way I would've done it when I was younger. Totally your preference, but if you like the Cragars, go with it. Nowadays, when kids see the car, they have no idea what was original or not. I have gotten a lot of thumbs up from the older crowd with respect to the Cragars. Don't worry about anyone else's opinion, just your own.

just as long as your not putting rubber band tires and rims that go clear up in the wheel whel. Muscle cars suppose to have thick tires!

FSC29,
It is all your opinion as many have said here. The best way to decide is to do a little photoshopping. Cut the wheels off of another car and past them on yours. I did that with my wagon. I know I will eventually replace the Torq Thrusts on my SS Clone and I wanted to see how the wagon would look since it will be getting these. The color is a little off but you get the idea.

Slotted mags fully polished ROCK, the style might be making a comeback too, American racing just started making Ansen Sprints again

I hate stock wheels on just about everything. I can't think of any exceptions off the top of my head...nothing more boring IMO

Let's face it. The aftermarket wheel business has always done well because stock wheels are basically ugly and or plain.

That being said, If it is a stock classic then it should have the originals.

Or you can do what I did and took the ralleys of my wife's camaro (I don't like them...I'm Sorry) and put them in the garage wrapped up for later.

I run Cragars in the summer, stock wheels and covers in the winter. Hot rod in summer, grandpa stealth in the winter.

next to anything dog dish, ralleys are the worst "classic" design ever IMO because not only are they ugly, they're overused
