What is the best 7 quart oil pan to use in my 69 chevelle with a 496 big block. I need to make sure it clears the frame and does not hang to low. My car is lowered about 2" in the front. I had my new 496 w/ AFR alum. heads and new tremec 600 in car "ALMOST" when I fould out my oil pan was not going to clear. I've looked at all the mailorder pans but they say they fit most gm cars. If there is someone out there that knows what will work for sure, please help!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!

I had a 20401 Moroso that fit fine. It's 8" deep which is shorter than the Milodon stuff. It will be even with the bottom of the crossmember and shorter than most headers. But you cannot install the motor with the bellhousing on too.
Won't clear the cross member. Well if you jack the back of the car up and F with it till your mad enough. It will go in. I hated this, so I sold it the next time the motor was out.

Has anyone out there used the Moroso 20451 pan? It's a 7 Quart pan that is 9" deep. I'm just wandering how far it will hang below the crossmember.
