redvipercm Oct 31st, 99, 6:11 PM I have a small block single exhaust and wish to install duals. The tranny cross member has only one "HUMP" which allows the right pipe to fit a la factory. I am looking for a double hump tranny cross member and suggestions on what mufflers to use for that mellow tone. HELP!!!! JR67 Oct 31st, 99, 6:34 PM I don't know about your dual transmission crossmember, but you would be best to go to a salvage yard and try to find one. As far as the mufflers get FLOWMASTER. They sound clean and have a nice rumble. Chvelle Oct 31st, 99, 8:51 PM My buddy has a '78 Malibu with a 454 and every time we go to the Pick-a Part, he's always checking under the '73- '77 Chevelles for their crossover. You may have to trimming it some, but they will fit. As for the mufflers, I would got with either Dynomax Super Turbos, Flowtech Terminators or if you race, Warlocks. To me, Flowmasters are for the PonyAss crowd. No offense to the folks that do have Flowmasters.
