I am currently in college and my chevelle lost its garage spot to my dads new volvo. We have a huge tree in our neighbors back yard that drops tiny pine needles all over my car. I have always kept it covered during the good weather while i was away. Now heres the question. Can i cover my car while it is raining. I heard that it is bad for the paint and everything so what do you guys think??

Most car covers aren't water proof (even the ones that say so on the box). I first cover my cars with the car cover and then wrap it up with a 20X10(20$) gray tarp. May sound ghetto but keeps sunlight, trash, and water out. I guarantee it will work.

I just bought one of these covers (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2432851698&category=42611)
Off ebay. It is totally waterproof, but has vents that let the car breathe. My camaro sits outside and it is not watertight, and was getting wet in the trunk and on the floor when it rained. I got this cover and even after a heavy downpour its dry as a bone inside. I highly reccomend it. graemlins/thumbsup.gif [/QB][/QUOTE]
