I have a 68ss chevelle and it is currently red (as in my signature). Ive always thought about painting it the original color but i don't know how cool it would look. The original color is HH (Grecian Green Metallic). It did not have the vinyl roof and i don't know if it had the black along the bottom (should it have the 68ss stripes also?)
When i got it it was primer black and i threw on some viper red paint, which looks cool. But I would really like to know if Grecian Green is a cool color. Anone have Pictures?
SSuper Dave had a '68 Grecian Green SS. He should have some pics.

Go with the Grecian green! Every other Chevelle is red, including mine! I really wish I still had my Tripoli turquoise one. Don't see that color much anymore.

Look at my feature car pics, I think May 02. Also Bill Rose has one that color. I like it a lot, so much that I had a '68 Sport Sedan in the same color!. I would like to have an Elky in HH.

Way too many classic cars are painted resell red. I would paint it the original color. Here is a link to one for you to see.

Mine is butternut yellow, you dont see many of them. Some people dont like it but i peronally do, and i like the fact that you dont see many. I say go with your Grecian Green. It will make your car more special!!!

My 2 Cents.
I would go with the original color with the black along the bottom. I love those classic original colors.
I owned an ash gold 68, and would trade my 67 for it in a heartbeat.
