I have finally removed the gas tank out of my velle. What else has to be removed from the body before it can be lifted from the frame? I have gutted the interior all that is left is a glob of wires where the dash was. I have removed the front fenders, fender wells and bumper components. I need to know what else should be removed from the body before I attempt to lift it. Things like brake lines, master cylinder and booster, steering colum, pedals, etc. Above is all that I have done so far so if I didn't list it and you know it needs to be done please let me know. I am not removing the engine or trans before I take the body off.

Thanks alot
David

I'll try and list a few, but you will need to lift is slowly and look every where for things still attached.

Ground straps.
Should be one on the passengers side right below the firewall. There could be one in the rear from the frame to the body behind the rear bumper

Speedometer cable.
Radiator hoses.
Heater hose.
Alternator wires
Battery cables.
Remove brake lines at the master cyll.
Trans shift linkage
If it is a stick, the clutch linkage.

I think thats it.

Just to add to the above, don't forget the emergency brake cable at the firewall. BTDT smile.gif
