I am looking into a air ride suspension. Any ways they were asking me if i want new control arms ( i think that was they called it). Are the stock control arms good. Should i replace them, modify them, or get new ones. Sorry i am still learning about cars.
You might want to talk to Tom's 68 about air ride set ups. I saw a frame he had from a car that had air bags in it. It wasn't pretty. Upper rear shock mounts were stress cracked badly. That may not be the typical case but it got my attention.

If you take a look at my website I have a couple pictures of my front suspension. You do have to modify the frame to make it work. So far I haven't had any problems at all. I only have it in the front since the back is a ladder bar set up.

your car looks nice. I like how you spent time painting all the little things. I know it was alot of work but was it overwellming to do a frame off restoration. I have a 65 ss conv. that i am doing a frame of resto. I am worried i will get overwellmed. Also do you drive you car alot or just for shows and an occasional drive? Nice car again

My car is undergoing a full Air Ride installation right now. We're using Air Ride's Shockwave coilover units with four corner adjustment. The car already has Global West tubular a-arms so we just swapped out the QA1 coilovers for the Shockwaves. The rear was an easier swap than the front as the car has a four link set-up. Shock mounts are very beefy, too.

Thanks for the compliment!.............It can seem overwhelming at times. But you have to focus on the end result. You have to take it one small project at a time. It took me two years to finish mine. The hardest part is having the funds available to keep moving forward. I don't drive the car too much. Once or twice a week. I plan on doing some car shows over the summer.

As you know, stuff happens so here's an update. You have to use Air Ride's lower A-arm,if you want to go lower than my car already was. Looks like my lower Global West A-arms will be up for sale, soon. :(
