I was wondering how hard if even possible it would be to make a hard top 69 chevelle to a convertable. If anyone has any information on this or a website that might explain what I would have to do get this done?
Thanks

Not really.Anything is possible, but you would need a donar convertible to do the job,and the cost and labor would far outweigh the cost of buying a true convert. Also it will never be a real convertible because the VIN carries the convert designation, just a butchered coupe in most peoples eyes. I have worked at a shop where it was done with a 57 Caddy. The owner had over $100k in it when it was done. A lot more involved then cutting the roof off of a coupe. The quarters are different, glass is different many structural differences not to mention the frame is different.

This conversion is way more involved than you might imagine. A friend of mine recently did a 66 Impala, he didn't realize the amount of differences between the two cars until he was to far into the job to turn back :( The decklids were different lengths, the body supports were different(more), the windshield was shorter, windshield frame, quarters required massive amounts of modifications, decklid filler panel was different, many many changes had to be made requiring two parts cars to supply everything needed.
look over everything very carefully before you start to get an idea what amount of work is invloved, Bob
