does anyone have the jegs 21/2 header-back exhaust system, if so how does it fit. i expect to trim it a little because of so many different header brands, but is there any major modifications. im odering it tomorrow. also where is the exit location.

I just put that setup in a 66 SS, connecting to DynoMax headers - which was a nightmare in their own right. All the Jegs pipes fit well till I got to the pipes routing behind the axle. They had the strangest bends I've ever seen. I had to cut out sections and reweld them to look close to the right ones from FloMax. They do exit straight out the bumper, extending about 2". I'll pass on using them again.

I've heard some pretty bad things about them...

I installed their 3" kit. It did not go well. I had to order some straight tubing because what they gave me would not work with the mufflers THEY recommended.

It ended being a lot more work than it should have.

Bummer I was thinking of getting their 3 inch kit.

I just installed the 2 1/2 " kit , wasn't that bad. had to trim back both of the "over the axle" pieces..used the dynomax super turbo mufflers too.. the pipes didn't fit bad, but the hangers were useless IMO.. ended up using some others I had. for 149 bux its not a bad deal

If I had to do it over, I would have taken the car to an exhaust shop and had them deal with the kit. Maybe they would have had a better time with it. But I doubt it.

Also echo some of the other sentiments....installed 2.5” to Dynomax turbo flows on my '72. Everything is OK until you go over the axle...you definitely need to make some cuts on the two rear pieces for them to fit. Fortunately though, unless you have a lift, incredibly high jack stands, or have the rear diff out of the car, if it came as a one piece from the muffler over the diff out the rear it can be impossible to install because of the clearance to get it over the rear end. I purposely bought this set because of the two piece design. I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying the stainless steel band clamps. They are expensive, but in hindsight, I am so glad I bought them. This allow you to snug fit everything and take off and on at any point, even in the future. I had to make some adjustments to my pinion angle later and subsequently had to move the pipe…thanks goodness I had the bands (they also look nicer).
