Looking for a project car for my 16 yr old budding car nut. Found a 71 unmolested Malibu, 350 TH350. Body, floors and trunk very solid, except for minor rust around curb side rear quarter (easy patch). Motor was rebuilt 5000mi ago, sounds good. Interior is totalled, can only salvage the door panels. Glass and trim OK but grille is poor. Body is nice and straight with crisp lines and good door gaps, but was repainted some years ago, and it looks like they used a paint roller. Still has original pie plate wheel discs. Owner wants $3200.

I'd say yes. It's nice to start with a complete car that is pretty much untouched. What color and interior?

Exterior is poorly attempted shade of Forest Green, interior is Light Green with rubber floor, no carpet.
