Guy's;

Will a complete set of disc & spindles from a 71 fit in a 67 ? The 67 now has power drum, I believe I can reuse the booster but I know I will have to change the master cylinder. Any brake line issues with the master cylinder ? I know I will have to change the front lines to the calipers. Can I use the 67 spindles and just instal the 71's backing plates & caliper brackets ??

Any and all input is most welcome !!!

But you'll have to change the spindles. Discs won't fit on drum spindles.

Ok; Thanks for the replies guy's !!!! Question #2, will I have to change the upper control arm to the 71's ?? If not will I have to get custom upper and lower ball joints ?? Or will the 71's spindal just bolt in ??

Thanks again !!!

They are the two-part spindles with the caliper adapter that bolts on, right?
If so, then they should just bolt on. Just be careful of the balljoint boots when seperating them unless you want to replace them.

Yes, I believe they'll bolt right in. One thing you might want to check is the bolts that hold the pitman arm to the spindle. From what I have heard they changed between 1967 and 1969, but the c/c should still be the same so you can use a bushing on the bolts.

I think you mean the steering arms, not the pittman arm. The pittman arm attaches to the steering box ;)

But, on the bolt sizes, I believe you are right. They went from 7/16" to 1/2" at some point. You could make a shim to take up the slack, or just drill your steering arms to match the spindles.

I can call them anything I want, it's a free country, isn't it? :angry: :D
