I've been working on ye 'ol Jeepster for several years now. Fixing rust holes, modifying fender arches, removing excessive bondo, and hammering away at it :D

The Black, and dark blue are rattle cans after I've welded patches up. The door is original '68 yellow.

How much should I plan to sand off?

I'm under the impression that, since I have so many questionable paint types, I should take it down to metal.

BTW, the Chevelle is up and running, it's just hiding from the snow graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Your correct, if you plan on keeping it, take it down and start with bare metal. A paint job is only as good as the weakest link, that rattle can stuff would be it!

I'll be pulling the body off this spring and whire wheeling the bottom first, then hopefully the top next.
