First off I have had my 650 DP Holley rebuilt about a year ago. The car is the weekend fling. The problem is I can warm the car up, water temp is about 180 and drive it around close to the house for even extended periods of time and come to a stop light and she'll idle just fine. however if i take it on the freeway for say a 10-15 min. trip down the road 75mph (about 2600 rpm) and when i get off the freeway take it out of gear and she won't idle for the life of her. Anybody got any suggestions?

If it is the carb I am kinda thinking about trying out the AVS carb from edelbrock buddy of mine has one and all I've ever heard from ANY of them is good things. Can't say the same for the ole holley
thanks

fuel filter, fuel pressure, float level, dirt in the bowls. If my fuel pressure is a tad too high, at the end of the pass, my car will load up and try to die as I approach the turn off for the return road. Go Edelbrock if its a street car, figure out the Holley if you want performance

I'm thinking your floats are off or you have a needle/seat that's sticking.
