I have a 4sp radiator that is suppose to be from a 68 325hp 4sp car. The tag codes are XM,OD,IA.Is this the correct application for a 68? Also need what codes would be for a 70 L34 4sp.Build sheet calls for a BE radiator. What are the codes that would be on the tanks? I am guessing that the 68 radiator codes would not be correct for 70 application. thanks Jim

I am not familiar with an OD radiator suffix.
I show the following codes for a 1968 Chevelle L-35 396/325 HP.
Standard Radiator:
*OB-Manual trans.
*OC-Automatic
A/C & Heavy Duty:
*OJ-Manual
*OP-Automatic
That 70 BE code is a 3 row Radiator.
IA is the suffix for the 70 BE Radiator Drivers side tank & was also used on the 68 OJ Radiator.
The Passenger side tank for a 1970 Manual trans. does not use the 68 XM.I am not sure what it is right now.

mr 70,
Thanks for the info. Then I'm guessing that BE would be stamped into the 70 pass side tank Or would that just be the tag identification?
Thanks,Jim
BE would be stamped into the seperate attaching suffix tag,not into the tank itself.
But that suffix tag was attached onto the passenger side tank.

Mr.70,
By chance would you know what the code would be stamped in tank?
Thanks again,Jim
