How do I go about aligning windows? The side rear window in my 64 Chevelle closes about an inch before it touches the weatherstrip, lots of stuff gets in through that window. I do remember my father putting duct tape on the windows (back in the 70's) when we would go to the car wash so this car has had that problem since then. Thanks.

first of all is the weather strip good? if not replace it. then you'll have to take the rear seat out and the what i call the door panel on the back seat. there is stops inside the body that are adjustable and are there to keep the window from going up to far. sounds like these need adjusted.

To adjust the windoe in a 64/65 Ht Conv. you remove the door panel and the dum-dum covering the adjustment nuts, I assume the wing window and fron track are alinged and ok, you then have a numbet of in and out adjustment and you also have top limit tab adjustment at the glass set channel... This can be rickey and time consuming.. take your time and think through you adjustments...one at a time..
