About a year ago, I saw some pictures of a 71 if i am not mistaken that was a hardtop and one of the guys here made it a Conv. You could no tell! It was a really good job. So.. It's possible.. A few years ago at SC there were two 1st generation Monte Carlo convertibles, they looked really good too, so it can be done. By the time you spend time and money cutting, installing a Convertible top reinforcing the frame, etc. I think you will wish you would have waited for the real McCoy. It would take a master metal worker to pull it off and a donor convertible car for the parts. Like was said above, it's much easier to save your $$ and buy one. They're out there and still affordable right now. | ||
