I think the cookies that retain the memory for my ebay login name and password are messed up on my computer at my office. I have to type in my name and password evrytime I log in. My computer at home has it in memory.
Do I need to clear out the cookies file. Are there just certain ones to delete, or do I have to erase all of the file?

What browser are you using? My browser has an option to delete the cookies individually from a list, but I'm not using the Mickeysoft browser.

Take a look at the options your browser offers. I don't do IE for obvious reasons. It is the worst browser in existence. The better browsers allow you to go through your cookies and selectively delete the ones you don't want. IE might be able to do the same. I don't have or want a copy of it to check for that option.
This would be a really good time to download Firefox and fix your problems forever rather than fighting the IE mudhole any longer.

you may need to check your security settings on IE it might be setup not to retain the passwords or ask for them. I think it is tools internet options content personal auto complete.

I never knew IE was so bad. It's never given me a problem.

Dave,
Is your computer at home running XP ? Just curious because mine started doing the same thing a while ago on the My Ebay page. I just figured that E-bay changed thier login procedure. Once you log in the first time, it will be ok until you turn the computer off. Next time requires another login. E-bay site is the only one like this, so I dont think it is XP causing the probelm, but it would be nice to know.

My Ebay account does the same thing...both at home and at work (XP machines).

Mine does the same. I check Ebay every time I get on my computer( which is often) and I am sooo tired of logging in. I only have dial up available, so I figures this was part of the problem. My computer at home will at least keep my name and password in history, and I am trying to get my computer at the office to keep it in memory.
I have the opposite problem: I try to keep my job computer clean so it WON'T remember login info. Too many jerks around who would gladly use it to screw things up. Don't want the janitor to buy things on eBay using my identity :)
