Hello all,

I know this might be a stupid question but I have to ask anyway.............

I'm getting ready to paint my assembled motor and thought I would grind some of the excess bosses and flash away. This will be done to clean up the assembly as well as loose a pound or two.

Is there any harm in doing this to an assembled motor? I'm thinking that vibrations from the grinder might cause some internal issues like harmonic vibrations would..................

As I said, probably a stupid question but I just thought I'd ask before I did it.

Thanks,

As long as everything is buttoned up I would think it would be fine.

No problemo! Grind and smooth that baby and then paint for a super shiney new engine! Goodluck!

It will definitely be buttoned up for sure! Hey, If I get 5 lbs worth of cast iron off of it and a little better appearance, I'll be happy!

Thanks,
