I'm replacing the engine trans in my car. 64 L6. The engine was out of an early 80's truck. The "new" engine is from a 66 Chevelle. The brackets that mount to the engine block look the same. The pulleys on the water pump and the crank are different in that the "new" ones are dual V and the old are single V. The alternator and PW pump do not line up with the water pump and crank pulleys. Is it possible that I have the wrong alternator? Do I need to swap the crank and water pump pulleys? Any other ideas?
Also, anyone have a picture of the correct set up of the brackets?
