rewiring engine harness after fire damage. car still has point ignition, trying to get color code for wires to coil, starter, sensors, horn ect. anyone help? thanks.

Easiest way would be to buy a wiring diagram for your specific model from any one of the Chevelle parts vendors including our sponsor whose link appears at the top, right corner of this page.

I'm not blowing you off...this would really be the simpliest way to wire your car correctly. ;)
Also, in case you're not aware, factory color coded replacement wiring harnesses are available which really simplify the job.

that would work but i've already rewired the damaged plug, ran the colored wires in loom and routed the harness. all thats left is to cut wires to length and connect. i've got a general idea but with it wired the way that seems correct, the battery light stays on with the key off and removed???? any help or ideas?
