I want to save my frame which is in good shape at the moment. I want to do what is best for it. Should i primer and paint or undercoat the frame?

If it were mine, and I was looking for a good way to preserve it, I'd scrape off all the loose stuff and POR 15 it. The stuff is real durable and looks real good just brushed on.

Whatever you end up doing, DO NOT undercoat. Paint it with either Por 15 or the Eastwood product, Corroless or Rust Encapsulator or whatever Eastwood is calling theirs these days.

i just got done with my frame .. I used Eastwoods chassis black with high gloss over a coat of their rust encapsulator...turned out really nice...very clean and shiny
