My 71' just got out of the paint booth yesterday graemlins/hurray.gif However, I was a little surprised. When the doors opened I was looking at a Torch Red car that looked like it had been pained with "Interior Flat Latex". My painter then got my heart started by telling me that all BC/CC cars look "Flat" until the clear is applied. He said the BC looks that way because of Flash. Not being a body guy I had no idea this was the process. The clear is being shot today. I cannot wait to see the finished product.
What causes this Flash?

Flashing is the solvents leaving the paint. All paint including the clear "flash". The Clear just has different componants in it and when it flashes it remains shiney.
