Were hood lock pins standard on the 72 SS domed hood?

Car doesn't have cowl induction, and had 350 4BB.

No, hood pins were not a factory option, they were strictly add on.

I beg to differ, The domed hood maybe not,
but I'm sure the cowl induction hood came from the factory with them.

In 70, hoods pins came from the factory if cowl induction was ordered. SS hoods with out cowl induction did not receive pins.
In 72 all domed hoods got them, cowl induction or not. I'm not sure if 71 followed the 70 or 72 'rule'.

Well, my '72 was built in November of 71. So maybe this is an original hood, even though it doesn't have pins...

70Z15 is right on the money. All 1971 and 1972 Domed hoods came with hood pins. 1970 was the only year that the domed hood did not come stantard with the hood pins.

So I guess that means that either my hood is not original, or someone filled the holes. I'll have to take a look at that. Thanks for the info...
