I just picked up all my parts, and am just not positive I got the right setup, even though im pretty sure its correct.

(all bolting onto a 350 with a performer rpm intake, 1 5/8 headers, and 600cfm carb)

Trick FLow 23 degree heads, 64cc, 1.46 valve springs
Crane 268-2 cam, (will the springs work, i choose them to accomodate this cams lift)
7.800 long hardoned chromemoly pushrods, (im told these are hte right length)
Stock rocker arms
Felpro 1094 head gaskets (is there anything special that needs to be done being that these are so thin?)
Weiland Aluminum water pump

So please help me make sure everything is right, i just spent the majority of my money and if anything fails i dont think id be able to afford fixing it lol.

Everything looks ok.

With the pushrods, nobody can tell you what the right length is. It depends on lots of variables like head design, deck height, gasket thickness, etc. Pull out one pushrod, and check the length. If it appears too long or too short, put it back in the package and return it for a different set. An adjustable set with a checker would be better, but that's more money to spend.

If I remember right, the 1094 is a steel shim gasket. Make sure the deck surface is VERY clean, and spray on some copper sealant from Permatex. Typically these gaskets are only used on freshly-decked blocks, but they still work if you make sure things are clean and spray sealant is used. Felpro also has a coated shim gasket that works well also, and is about the same thickness.

For the valvesprings, find out how much load there is at the seat and over the nose, and compare that with the supplied cam card (or call Crane).

The only change I would make would be to return the Weiand pump and buy a stock pump, and use the extra dough to buy some roller-tipped rocker arms. A stock pump will work just fine. If you are really set on a aftermarket pump, again return your Weiand, and buy a Stewart Stage 1. This is only my opinion.

Everything looks good though. You'll like the improvement.

I agree... go with a roller tip rocker at the very least. I would investigate a full roller rocker as well. Summit brand rockers are in the low cost area as roller rockers go, but you may find them to be a bit bulky compared to some others. You can increase lift with 1:6 instead of 1:5 rockers (if you want to)

Based on what you have so far there is no way to tell what length pushrods to use. I ended up with rods .100 over stock with my setup. (Using a brand new block and new AFR heads and 1:6 roller rockers)
Everyone's setup can be different.

Good Luck

Steve

what advantage is there to upgrading the rockers, i dont have enough money to do that out of the box right now, i'd have to wait atleast a month.

The waterpump was the only thing the local car shop could get in, he got me a good price so its not a big concern. My dad wondered if there was a sealant like you mentioned, i appreciate you letting me know that.

Is there anything else i need to know? I noticed that there are no instructions on how to put hte rocker arm studs or guideplates in (how much to torque them), or did i skim over it?
