Thanks to you guys who responded to my last inquiry re: 1970 SS bumper pads. I've determined the one I got from Year One simply is not an ideal reproduction. It should be thicker on the ends so that, when the pad follows the countour of the bumper, the pad doesn't flare outward near the tail lights. That would give the entire pad a nearly-flat appearance on its outer surface, like the factory pad.

Question: How many manufacturers are there for these pads? And who knows which maufacturer's pad is the best repro, most like the factory pad?

Thanks! I'm a novice at this, doing my first-ever restoration, and I appreciate the advice.

theirs two that i know of, ive had both on the table at the same time to compare with my original.
the one that Ground Up sells is the best match. only thing i dont like is the way it is trimed when it comes out of the mold. a little uneven.
