Not sure if this is the right forum, but I want to replace the cool-looking but nearly useless "bullet" side mirrors on my Elky. Years ago I purchased some Italian-made mirrors from Vitaloni that had convex lenses on both sides (Objects may be closer ...) and blue tint. I can't find these any where. Can anyone suggest a source or another brand/type of replacement side mirror that would work better than the small stock mirrors?

I think that the mirrors you described are like the style used on 60's european sports cars like Triumphs and MG's. If thats what you're looking for try seaching in Hemmings for suppliers of parts for them. You may also find them on e-bay motors if your search is for mirrors. I hope this helps.
