I'm thinking about restoring another car but doing all the work. I have never done body work before but am very detailed and think once I understand what to do I do a good job. Anyone who has done this what did you use for a guide it isn't like I can take a class or something. My biggest fear is I don't know how to weld but can learn on junk metal.

Welding is easy to learn with a mig. Fun too
Bondo and paint work is an art that takes years to perfect.
I gave up on body work years ago

I'm learning on mine as I go. Mechanical I have no problems with but body work on the other hand is new to me. Check out the link below for pictures. graemlins/beers.gif

My advise would be to READ ALL of the safety articles that have been posted here! The chemicals and solvents involved with today's products are nothing to mess with.
Then check into your area's Community College's or Tech School's programs for classes. It also doesn't hurt to have a buddy in the neighborhood who may have experience and tools.
