I have the original wheels and was wondering if it worth powdre coating them has anyone done this? What would be best powder coat the silver and spray black or th oppisite Thanks MIKE

I would pass on the powdercoat. I talked to two different companies, and the powder is applied and then clear coated. I was told that any silver ( for some u/k reason ) will turn chalky without clear coat. If you chose to go this way, have them silver coated and then do the inserts after. Keep in mind, sanding the area of the inserts will be difficult because of the toughness of the powdercoating.

I would go with having a body shop doing the painting chores. They can use a good quality primer and paint, which will not be as tough as powdercoating, but far and away better than a spray bomb.

I just had my rims painted at a shop and I'm very pleased with the results. I brought them the rims already stripped, so they charged me $50.00 Cdn. per rim to prep and paint. I will do the inserts myself.
