View Full Version : same type problem except ramseys19 Apr 25th, 05, 2:07 PM i have a 71 chevelle malibu. the right turn signal stays on (doesnt blink) and the left one doesnt go on at all. my goal is to fix this today. ramseys19 Apr 25th, 05, 3:31 PM ok update. i got both of them to go on now i they dont blink still and i was wondering if the rear lights (on the side) what are they hooked up to? if someone could supply me with a wiring diagram for the 71 chevelle. that would be great John_Muha Apr 25th, 05, 4:12 PM Do the hazards flash? All lights come on with the hazards? If so try swapping the hazard flasher (in the fuseblock) with the turn signal flasher under the dash. It's somewhere between the steering column and the radio. The side makers are running lights only. ramseys19 Apr 25th, 05, 11:14 PM the hazards work and blink. but the turn signals come on but do not blink. all the lights work but the bulb for the left turn signal in the dash. John_Muha Apr 26th, 05, 12:20 AM Try swapping the flasher cans. ramseys19 Apr 26th, 05, 11:47 PM i found the relay on the fuse box but i cant find the other one John_Muha Apr 27th, 05, 12:37 AM It's not a relay. It's a turn signal can. Look between the steering column and the radio. It's on wires about 10 inches long. At one time is was mounted to the top of the steering column but it gets knocked around. Sometimes when it's real quiet you can hear or feel around for it because it's trying to work the signals if you select them. ramseys19 Apr 27th, 05, 1:59 AM ok thank you so very much. it works now. the hazards blink and so do the turn signals. |
