On a 72 Chevelle, I installed SoffSeal roof channel rubber. The edge of rubber that fits in to the channel on the"outboard" side fit great. There is a ridge in the channel on the "inboard" side of the stainless steel but the rubber won't "click" in. What do I do? I've glued in the outbard side!

Can you get in there with a putty knife or something thin? You should be able to "pop" it into placs so that it stays put. I used a thin piece of of plastic and was able to run it along the channel with out any problems.
