How much horsepower and torque could I run through a 700r4 with 2000-2400rpm stall with lock up going back to 3.08 gears and a 24" tire. I would like this car to be streetable driving it often. This motor that I want to build will be a 350 starting from scratch. Thanks.

With the mild stall and mild gears, i would say a 350HP motor would be about all you would want to deal with. Anything wilder would be a dog to drive around.

With a 700R4 and 3.08 gears you will have a 2.16 effective rear gear ratio, running about 72 mph @ 2000 rpm with the converter locked. You'll need a motor that works well in that range.
