Hey everyone. I have some little rust on where the rear wheel lip in on my 68. What should I do? Should I just sand it and bondo it up? or replace the whole quarter. Its not to big at, only about an inch or two in length. Thats the only spot of rust so I believe I dont have to replace the whole quarter. Any ideas on what I should do?

Check to see if they make a patch panel for that year. That may be your best solution

Definitely cut it out and weld in some new metal. Im crossing my fingers for you, often times a small amount of rust or even bubbles will turn into a much larger repair when you start digging.
Best of luck,

Surface rust or a hole? Rusty on the exterior surface or the interior surface as well? If this is exterior surface rust you may be able to spot blast the area and repair the quarter, if the rust is creeping out from the inside you'll need to replace this section. Whichever the case be sure to treat the interior with some preservative like 3M's rustfighter once the repairs are done.

ok I think I am gonna get some patch panels for it, hopefully they will do the job. How much would it cost for a shop to take out the old metal and weld the new metal back in?
