Busted Knuckles

I just picked up a '72 that's something short of a basket case and I want to get it structurally sound before I start driving it daily and doing the weekend projects in anticipation of turning it into a real boulevard bruiser. I got the old junk seats pulled out yesterday along with the carpet and pad. The original paint is visible on most of the floor, but I have a few very small holes right at the front of the driver's side where it makes the turn up toward the firewall - just under your heels. Looks like water and junk stood here and it was made worse since the carpet was worn and dirty and that held the moisture in place. I don't want to have to buy and hack a full floor pan unless I have to and am hoping someone has one that they used the back part of and doesn't need this area. I'm not looking for a handout - will pay for this piece - but it seems a shame to waste that much. One other option is that if there's anyone out there that just needs the area under the seat or even the back part of the pan, I'll get a whole one and cut off what I need and send you the rest if you'll split the cost of the pan with me. I'll also eventually need 1/2 quarters on both sides in back due to rust over the wheel openings, but I want to get this interior done first. Email me direct at 81vette4speed@cox.net if you have anything or want to do a split. Thanks!
