have a 70 none ac SS. there are 4 wires wrapped in harness that extends to pass side of car. BIG PURPLE, BLACK, BLACK/PINK STRIPE , SMALL RED with insulation on it. it is on a 4 speed car. i dont want to run a tcs system the boxes that controls the tcs are missing anyway. also there is a ORANGE wire cut real close to the distributor area only 1/2" sticking out from harness, does it go direct to the blower motor? or should there be a relay there. thanks

The orange wire might have been part of the trans kick down. If so it would have conected there and ran to the sw on the accelarator pedal.
Would need more info on the other wires. Pictures.

Could they be the wires to the blower relay.
The cut off orange wire may have been the blower high speed in line fuse holder.
Has A/C been removed?

I believe the small back with a pink strip was for the tcs. Mine was fried, about 2 feet long, I traced it back to a single 10 or 12 gauge Orange harnness connetion on the passenger (in)side that connected into my AC wiring harness. Out of one side of the harness ran this black/pink wire.
You said its a non AC car, right. The set up may be a bit different then, that Orange cut wire should be what Dean suggested. Does your blower run, fan selection work?
As for the Purple, Black, and small red, I'll check tonight, If I have that.
