Along with it I got a tube of PORPATCH and all the MSDS sheets for the products. The first thing I confermed was that PORPATCH and POR-15 are exactly the same product. The "patch" is simply thickened and put in a tube. The tube is VERY light in weight.
I have been studying the technology of POR and it is very interesting. It actually has isocyates in it. The isos in "regular" paint are moisture and heat driven. You mix the hardener (with the isos in it) in and in a while the product cures. Well the POR has the isos in it on the end of the urethane molecules. They are linked when exposed to moisture. This is why you can't leave the can open. It is nothing new in the form of technology but something I had never known, very interesting.
